Six months ago we posted that Rio Tinto was planning to introduce 150 centrally controlled driverless trucks by 2015. Yesterday they put out a press release (HT: ThomLandon) celebrating that they now have 10 trucks beginning to transport iron ore.
On a side note, in a departure from the term ‘driverless trucks’ they have dubbed the technology as an Autonomous Haulage System (AHS).
